Cost: This event is FREE, but we do ask that each family bring a food donation for our Micah’s Backpack Program. Please see reverse side for donation suggestions

Micah’s Backpack: Healthy Meals for Healthy Children
Many families struggle to eat healthy meals and snacks every day. Micah’s Backpack is a free ministry that helps food-insecure children eat more healthy meals and snacks through a partnership with their elementary school and a local church or organization. First Christian Church has partnered with Micah’s Backpack for 6 years and is currently sponsoring 15 backpacks that go to two local schools.
Each Friday afternoon, identified elementary school children receive a backpack or plastic bag of healthy food and snacks. They include 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, fruit, snacks, and often shelf stable milk and juice.
Individual serving sizes are needed. No glass containers, please.

Oatmeal
Cereal
Macaroni and Cheese (microwaveable)
Chicken noodle/Vegetable beef soup (10.5oz)
Canned Vegetables (8oz)
Pudding cups (non-refrigerated)
