Music is a powerful teaching tool in a child’s life. Songs help our children learn their alphabet, tie their shoes, play games on the playground, and memorize stories and lessons that would be less memorable without accompanying music. Music can likewise be a powerful teaching tool to learn God’s word and the lessons bestowed on us by Jesus Christ. At First Christian Church of Hagerstown, children age 4 and up are offered multiple opportunities to perform scripture related material to our congregation and provide praise and worship to God. Proper singing technique, from posture to breathing to vocal timbre, is of great importance and is communicated and taught in a variety of fun and exciting ways. This opportunity can also help our children and youth develop a sense of service to their church and community. To join, please attend an upcoming rehearsal and share your contact information.
